"So, does it vent at a lower pressure and keep the PCV valve from dumping hot, thin oil back into the intake?"I want to understand this wizardry. So, does it vent at a lower pressure and keep the PCV valve from dumping hot, thin oil back into the intake? I know Chrysler in particular feels the intake manifold needs regular lubrication.
It operates independently of the PCV configuration
As described it works as a oil cap during the active PCV negative vacuum
Nothing more than a cap
Under increased throttle the vacuum is reduced
At some points there is no vacuum
Case venting stops
It is at this point a potential for a rise of increased case pressures exists
Crankcase say hello to blow-by gases
The breather allows them only to make a quick visit before leaving
When PCV vacuum ceases and case pressures rise breather venting occurs
