If you aren't planning to put a lot of miles in your car in a short time, and you save the same money you would pay in a monthly payment for your extended warranty you WILL have funds to cover repairs by the time your warranty expires. The overwhelming majority of people will not need the kind of repairs that will exceed the cost of an extended warranty during the warranty period.

If you do it my way you still have the money available when your extended warranty expires, so in a way you are getting an even longer warranty.
Good point!

People who drive well below the average number of miles will only have (in some cases) a few thousand miles on their BS when the warranty expires due to time. So an extended warranty is an even worse deal for them.

At least those that drive a lot and max out the miles before the warranty times out are more likely to have a covered repair.

That said, the underwriter undoubtedly takes that max mileage into consideration. Buying an extended warranty is still 'betting against the house'.

So the back wheel wells have pockets where the little stone guards attach that catches everything, and the back doors have pockets also. This is from normal driving, mud/stone is from unmaintained county crossover road.
The pockets I have to remove the stone guards to actually clean out, and the bottom of the doors fill with shit in that seam. This is gonna be brutal in the winter with ice build up North. And the salt mix that is gonna live between the panels and destroy them. I’m gonna have to spray out the rear doors with every wash. Wtf dumbass designed this setup, I’m assuming same one that put the ecu in the fender. The vibration of the door panel is gonna sand off the paint.

I LIVE ON Cambridge Bay Nunavut, I made the BIGGEST mistake buying the bronco, this SUV was not built for the north, I live on a damn island and ford will not let the mechanics here fix the recall issues, it costed me 20 thousand dollars to have it flown here. I definitely have buyers remorse.

Ford: Hi there, problems? Where are you located?
Op: Yes, Nunavat
Ford: Sorry, could you repeat that
OP: NUNAVAT
Ford: Yes, that's correct, we'll have none of that

I can sympathize with your plight up to a point. The availability of warranty repair facilities should be at the top of the priority list for anyone purchasing a brand new vehicle. Seems like someone living on an island should have at least a passing understanding of issues like this.

I certainly wish you all the best in getting everything taken care of. I can’t imagine the logistics involved in life that far north.

I'm curious as to what you mean by, "...ford will not let the mechanics here fix the recall issues..."

So there are mechanics, but they are not *Ford* mechanics/techs, correct?

If that's the case, that is SOP for all major auto mfrs. It's *possible* they might make an exception considering your very unusual situation.

Best of luck to you.

Regarding the climate, minus 35*F for the coldest low temp is a bit brisk (as they might say in the U.S. Midwest):

Ford Bronco Sport This is gonna be an issue 1653676048265

However, most vehicles should be able to handle that. In all seriousness, if they have trouble at 35* below, they will not do well in large areas of the upper Midwest.

What do you mean by, "...this SUV was not built for the north..."? It should start and run fine after warming up a bit.

I imagine most people up there either keep their vehicles in a heated garage or use battery blankets and engine block heaters. Needless to say, 0W-30 100% synthetic oil will help with cold starts.

If you already do all that and are still having problems then something's wrong.

Now we have an answer, just wait for winter and then you can drive to the dealer instead of having it air freighted.

Someone who found a solution to 20k shipping cost: drive it across frozen ocean during winter.
