Ford Bronco Sport Cluster F*** (flaw) 1652320459193

Really dislike lowering myself into driver seat
Set seat for max height
Problem reading guages
Instrument cluster: green arrow frames in the coolant temp and fuel gauges
Major Kong height 18.5 hands (6'2")
Cluster F*** (insert flaw or other(s)as you please)
line of sight for one reason or another drops the top line (green arrow) downwards
Line now interferes with gauge readings (red line)
Suggestion to Ford
Plenty of room to lower the gauges E&D to remove upper line from obstructing view.

Adjust the steering column?
steering column has no interaction with the obstructed view
You'd think it would be a simple 2 plane geometric screen read
But something else comes into play
All I can say is check it out for yourselves
Reposition seat height levels and keep an eye on that upper line

It's a line of sight issue
Seems to affect only the fuel and coolant temp gauges
Factors
Driver height
Seat height
Angle creates a partially obstructed view of gauges by the upper line

Not to worry. According to medical science, and I quote, "starting in or around your 30s, you will gradually start to get shorter. Men between the ages of 30 and 70 can expect to lose up to an inch, while women can lose as much as two inches. And after age 80, both men and women can lose yet another inch. " So, someday you too will see the the gauges the same way as us shorter/older folks!

Solution, upgrade to a Badlands or Outer Banks. No problem seeing the temp or fuel gauges.
This is with the steering wheel in its highest position.

If you're sitting so high that it's messing with seeing the temp and fuel gauges, how is the steering wheel not blocking seeing the other gauges? It only goes so high and moving it closer or farther from you doesn't do much.

At least you have analog gauges for temp and fuel. Badlands has a series of bars. Similar to the tach in the full size. Have to actually look at it to read it.

I wouldn't think one needs to be staring at temp fuel guage all the time? Wait till at stop light move head around check every once in a while. Don't think its necessary to be looking at them all the time is it?

Here's the other possibility, Ford won't want to do it, but I wonder if a user could? Badlands/Outer Bank cluster.

Hhhmm. I guess BigBend Guages are different.

wow...that's significantly different. But to the point of 69cuda...I don't stare at the guages while driving. I'd assume most/nobody does a full 360 walk around inspecting tires and fluids before entering the vehicle, then full inspection of guages before engaging the transmission? So many things we 'CAN' do to keep the vehicle functionally safe yet...we passively just get in and drive. I get the point Kong, and looking at big bend vs badlands clusters...why...why don't they just use the same clusters?

I'm also 6'2" and can't imagine driving with the seat all the way up. I didn't think that was even possible, but now I'm gonna have to try. Normally I have mine all the way down.
