Just want to post my expierence to help the next person . I bought a 2021 bronco sport outer banks for my wife. Loved it but the little car tires had to go. So started looking and to see the "biggest" tires we could fit on it with the 1.5" ready lift. Seen some posts with that people had put on 265 60 R18. But not much detail on what they had to do so they didnt rub. Well they will fit .... after alot of trimming. You need to cut the pinch weld from the bottom all the way up about 7inchs . You need to cut a section out of the inner linner on both the back of wheel well and front of the wheel well. On driver side you need to cut a piece out of the plastic cover that covers your fog light connectors . If you have the ford splash gaurds you will have to trim the inside corner about a 1" 1/4 . the rims i bought are 18x9 with a +30 offset. just alittle offset from stock. Tires measure 30.5 tall and 10.3 wide. Looks good handles good but wierd feeling cutting up a brand new vehicle lol.. My next step is going to get any metal I exposed from removing liner sections armor gaurded to prevent chipping end eventiual rusting . Any connectors i exposed i am going to spay dieltric greese on them.

Wow! That looks great. I guess gas must be cheaper in the Great White North. Between the added tire height, increased rolling resistance with the width, and the extra 18 pounds per tire over the stock tires, your mileage had to take some kind of hit.

I would be very reluctant to cut pinch welds. I know this is standard for other 4WD off-road vehicles, but most of them are body-on-frame construction, so weakening the attachments between body panels doesn't really affect structural integrity. The Bronco Sport is a unibody design--the frame and body are essentially a single unit--which means frame and body components rely on each other to achieve overall structural rigidity and strength. How does cutting the welds between these components affect the vehicle's structural integrity? I would not undertake such a modification without that information.

Once you adjust that the car mile is no longer a mile so you're probably getting more like 25-26

Looks great too!!!

Just for sake of knowledge, what you exposed in the front part of the wheel well is the ECU, or mostly the ECU connections. I don’t know why they would put it there but they did. Do whatever you want to with this information.

Thanks. Strange they would put the ecu connections where it will be potentially under water its only just over a foot off the ground. Even the plastic cover was not sealed at all. it had holes all around it. i will fab up a piece of thin plastic to cover it . To keep water / snow off the tires splashing it. But crazy they did that . Any bronco that goes threw a deep puddle will have their ecu connections under water .

I had some water proof 3m sticky back foam . Covered everything up . Wife isnt much of a off roader she just loves the look of the bronco sport. If we were off roading I would of gotten the full size not the modified escape lol.

Looks great. Not sure I’d cut mine up to fit them, but kudos to you for taking the plunge (literally).

I would put a liner behind the liner where you cut and cover the wires etc. you kick a stick up there and will be screwed. Plus all the road crap that kicks up

I did see pic 2 posts up. The stock cardboard linner i cut with an exacto knife with very little pressure . You could push a stick threw the stock liner like nothing with light pressure . Its a glorified splash gaurd . If i was going to buy a off roader i would of spent the $30k cad extra for the full size. I would not off road with this escape chassis. Just like i wouldnt off road with our 2021 escape titanium we also own.

You have the 1.5” lift and still needed to trim?
