There’s a gap in my plastic door trim in the back of the rear doors. Lots of dirt flying into it. Solution…blew dirt out and sealed with clear caulk. Might want to check yours out too.

Should that not be completely flush with the door panel?

Seems quite unacceptable.

Warranty issue?

It’s flush in the front doors but not the rear ones. No big deal. The caulk will work. Curious if I’m the only one with the gap issue?

No gap on mine.....

Looks like someone tried to wield it?

Wouldn't hurt to have the dealer look at it.

I had a gap too. It was causing issues with the fender flares I installed so I had to make an adjustment by adding an extra seal to reinforce it.

Just noticed ours is the same. It looks like one clip is not fastened. Will bring it up along with rear cargo tie down not attached properly. Rattles around.

Something has changed with the builds. Do you all have 2022's? I'm struggling to understand the gap thing. I guess my rear door has it, but it is because the lower plastic trip goes out past the edge of the metal door and overlaps the secondary rubber seal when it closes.

None of the other pictures in this thread have the little plastic bowties along the bottoms that I always assumed were some kind of retainer system for the cladding. These are my '21 doors, front and rear.

A bunch of road grime does make its way into that zone between the seals. I wiped these down prior to taking the pics. Had to really work the cloth into the edge of the seam welds. But Ford says it is watertight to almost 2' so, hey now. Sealing stuff can be a mixed bag. If you can totally seal it then it's an improvement, but I would worry about water that's going to run in from the outer door panel and not drain/dry as well with the bottom sealed.
