It would have been interesting to see him drive it with goat modes and traction control off. I bet he also would have been considerably faster with the 2.0L badlands.

indeed, like to see what if he can turn off stability control or select the GOAT mode ...and with a 2.0T of BL.

it would be interesting if people started to take a BS BL to a rally cross event. for a formal bug-eye WRX owner...I'd like to try it. especially it is proven to be a quick car

Why the author didn't use a BL is beyond me. On top of that he screwed up his test car. PI$$ poor journalism IMHO. Not worth watching or discussing.

How did he screw it up? I kind of skimmed through the video but didn't see any damage.

I am curious why the left foot braking. I've heard that's a good technique to crawl over rocks but I don't see the point on this. I feel the same with double clutching.

It has its detractors and has its proponents. I’ve been driving that way since age 15.

here’s one article on the topic.

Interesting.

Do you use left foot braking all the time or just when you're out having fun?

For me, and maybe this is from 30 years of driving manual, my left leg is ready to engage the clutch.

The 1.5 engine is used in Rally3 classification of WRC. 2.0 would be faster, no doubts, but it kinda goes against the ethos of rally.
