You must have extremely cold overnight temperatures there in northern BC, how does the battery of your 2025 BSBB perform in those conditions ?

My battery is having no problem here in southern Ontario, but you're in a totally different universe up there ! Do you have a block heater, battery charger, ...... ?

Cheers
The BS came with a block heater. We wouldn't have bought it otherwise. When it is below -20c we plug it in. It has had no problem starting. If it did we would promptly change out the battery with one with more cold cranking amps. Shouldn't take chances in cold environments. 🙂

Your husband is right, that is a deep gap where the wipers lay (aka the cowl) and its tough to get frozen or wet snow out of there. The other night before a snow and freezing rain storm I folded my summer windshield cover a few times , laid it across the opening and then held it down with a piece of wood. Not perfect but it kept most of the snow and ice out of the cowl and off of the wipers !

Cheers
Yeah it is. I have been waiting & hoping a company would make some type of rubber filler piece. I'd hope there is an actual reason it's so big.

We live more on a Northern BC plateau, just an extreme amount of snow fall this year. I am not complaining though, hopefully it dampens the ground enough to lessen some of the forests fires this year.
Even in 2 wheel drive it has fabulous traction going through the drifts. To be honest though, I do have actual winter tires with studs. 🤗
I thought you weren't supposed to put studded tires or chains on the BS?

I agree, another problem with the deep cowl is that the wipers come to rest in the gap and the wiper arms cannot be extended backwards !

It's common in the colder parts of North America for car owners to lift the wipers off the windshield and leave them in that position when snow or freezing rain is forecast . This cannot be done with the BS wipers ?!

Cheers

All I know is without them, driving the bronco sport with the pathetic fake all season (no snowflake symbol to make them legal in the north) tires Ford provided, would make driving the bronco like driving around in a sardine can. Might as well park it until spring just like everyone here that owns a smart car.
