What MPG and Range can we expect on the Bronco Sport?

The premium versus regular fuel discussion is compelling,

Looks like the top issue is the quality of detergents.
AAA claims that non-TOP TIER gasolines cause 19 times more engine deposits than TOP TIER gasoline.

EPA mandated a minimum level of detergents in 1996.

TOP TIER requires a higher level of detergents than the EPA minimum. The price increase is typically three cents per gallon per AAA.

TOP TIER base fuel:

1. Ethanol: between 8 to 10%
2. Olefins: at least 8 vol%
3. Aromatics: at least 15 vol%
4. Sulfur: les than 80 mg/kg
5. 90% evaporated distillation temperature: at least 290 F
6. IVD (Intake valve deposit): less than 500 mg (averaged over all intake valves)
7. A Certificate of Analysis

Demonstration of performance:

1. Enough 'deposit control additive' to reduce IVD to 50 mg (averaged over all intake valves)
2. CCD (Combustion Chamber Deposits): less than 140% of average CCD weight of Base Fuel.

My husband filled the tank on his way back home, so the time was short.
He also took this shot, so what is true mpg from the trip?

I had stopped using that display. It maxes out at 40 MPG. I prefer the trip report with the Instant and average MPG set.

A 25 mile stretch on Cruise at 50 MPH (8th gear) averaged 57.1 MPG.

For the return trip, I did 30 miles at exactly 60MPH, on cruise control in 8th gear. Averaged 43.3 MPG
