Well, today's the day we traded in our beloved Ford Bronco Sport Outer Banks and upgraded to something cooler and more capable. We traded it in for a 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4-Door. It's a fully-loaded Sahara trim in a color that's called Earl Grey which is very close to Ford's own Cactus Grey. Although it was a tough decision since my mom and I loved the Bronco Sport, we have a move to New England in the near future and wanted to have a better state of mind when driving through snow country. Having a mechanical 4WD transfer case, body-on-frame construction, more refined V6 engine, and improved ground clearance will be very beneficial in sticky situations. That's why the most common vehicles sold up North are Jeeps when it's not Subaru's or Bronco's. My dad, in particular, has always been a fan of the Jeeps and loves the idea of popping the tops off during the fall or spring months and taking in the scenery. I will say, even though I personally enjoy the full-size Bronco, the Jeep has the look. My dad prefers the Jeep over the Bronco.

This isn't a full goodbye. I will still keep my account active and keep in touch. Plus, I still have interest in news regarding the Bronco Sport since it's been a great vehicle. I'll probably join the Wrangler forum but I'm not in a big hurry to do so. Just wanted to let you all know and acknowledge how wonderful this forum has been. The advice and feedback you all offer has been greatly appreciated. I hope you enjoy the pics and thank you all for your generosity and enlightenment.

Good luck and Enjoy! I will say (not that I’m biased  ) depending on your use case, the full size Bronco has some advantages over the Wrangler. I was a big Wrangler fan for many years. It has it’s quirks and it’s advantages.

As for snow, I have found the BS BL is a beast in the snow and the full size stays parked in the garage to avoid the copious amounts of salt Wisconsin dumps on its roads during the winter months.

I just sold my BS BB 2023 for a Jeep Gladiator Mojave I love it. The Ford has been ok just too many problems and recalls wife started to hate it.

I've read and have been told by a person i know that owns one that those Wranglers have crappy steering traits at highway speeds.

Ironically, just after we got our '24 Badlands, we ran into a guy that had a really nice Wrangler who said he was going to trade it in for a Bronco Sport. ?

His issue was the 15mpg.

Best of luck to you and enjoy!

The death wobble at fast highway speeds is one of those quirks but it definitely shines at rock crawling.

Sounds like it’s want your dad wanted!
Pretty much. I didn't mind the Bronco Sport at all. My mom adored it. Sure, my dad liked it but he's always wanted a Jeep. Just the idea of popping the tops and having something even more capable in the winter months were the reasoning. It'll take my mom some getting used to with driving since they're two totally different vehicles. Going from a unibody to body-on-frame which means a bouncier ride, going from a 3-cylinder turbo to a naturally aspirated V-6 with 110 more horsepower and sitting higher off the ground. I'm used to it, personally, because I've driven a fair share of bigger, body-on-frame trucks and SUVs. Just five years ago, my daily driver was a Ram 1500. My mom is used to driving unibody compact SUVs. The last ladder-frame vehicle she drove was a Land Rover Discovery 13 years ago.
