Hi all, I believe the water pump failed again on my 2021 Outer Banks at 75k miles. It failed once before around 50k. The car is out of warranty, and my local dealer mentioned an after warranty assistance program to try and get ford to cover part (or all?) of the repair given that this will be the third water pump and obviously shouldn’t be happening let alone on a year and a half old part. I am aware that these 3cyls are notorious for water pump failures, I was told on the first repair that they changed the part but seems like the new version didn’t fix the issue, or they didn’t change the part. The vehicle has had routine service at ford dealerships its whole life, and had the water pump and RDU replacement done completely by dealerships under warranty. Anyone have experience with this after warranty assistance deal? If so how much did Ford cover and how did that work out for you? Thanks for the input, have a great day.
