I guess I’m the newbie to the Waiting Room. I just ordered yesterday.

Bronco Sport Badlands
  • Cactus Gray
  • Carbonized Gray Roof
  • Premium Package
  • Towing Package
  • Ford 360
  • Cargo Shelf
I haven’t received any confirmation emails yet but I expect that will happen in the next day or two.

Fordauthority reported that BS takes 17 days to turn, so everything produced is sold in less than 3 weeks. There's no old inventory on lots. The tight constraints right now keep built and sold pretty close to parity.
True but since vehicles are often built in one month and delivered the next production delays in one month can skew sales numbers the next month

I’ve heard a couple different wait times from dealerships, what seems to be the current state? Or maybe there’s no pattern and it’s just chaotic?

It varies, our BSBL took 4 mos from order to delivery. Others seem a month or so longer. Some a month shorter. I've told several people once you get the shipped email is the worst.

I've got the ADHD turned up to 11 on this trying to discern something about it, mostly to no avail. My dealership just told me 2 months just to get scheduled for production but offered no explanation.

I received a confirmation on 2/24 and nothing since! When I put in the order, I was told by my dealer it'd be 3-4 months total (OB, with only 360+ add on). I've been a bit bummed not to have received any production schedule date but, after reading this forum, realized I'm not alone!

I'm also curious about when those Emails go out - are there set days? Or is it just as random/chaotic as everything else?

I will hopefully get some kind of email from my dealership today or tomorrow saying that the process has begun. Fingers crossed and I will post here when/if I do.

This post on the Blue Oval forums gives a good breakdown of how Ford does business. It needs to be updated to reflect the changes caused by the new requirement to verify all retail orders, but it's still a decent primer on the maze that is the line into a production factory.

As for the email, I've scanned through some of the signatures here that give order progress details, and the emails seem to go out on Wednesday or Thursday after the scheduling decisions are made each week. Your dealer has 24/7 data on your order and is the best source of information, if they're good at customer service. The estimate of 3-4 months total seems about right for what is happening for others, but it's still frustrating that the factory will produce about 31k dealer stock Bronco Sports (at last month's levels) before they produce yours that is supposed to receive priority scheduling. If 3-4 months is priority scheduling, then I'd hate to see what the wait is in the non-priority line.

You should get an email from Ford confirming your order as soon as your dealership submits the order in the ordering system. My salesman put the order in right away and I received the confirmation email before I'd even finished wandering around the parking lot.

Thanks for the information. I think that since I placed the order on a Saturday and they have some kind of "order specialist" at the dealership, that I will get the order confirmation soon. I don't know if that person was working on Saturday or not.

I'm still hoping at some point to understand how Ford's process works (at least a little bit.) Specifically I'd like to know what verified retail orders take priority over: just stock orders from my dealer? Stock orders from the region? Stock orders in general? I can understand how in a situation like with the big Bronco or the Maverick where all the production capacity is taken up by retail orders that a different system from ordering the builds has to come into play. If everyone is a priority then no one is a priority. But, with lines like the Bronco Sport that are a mix of retail and dealer stock how are retail orders languishing? Is Ford not repeatedly missing perfectly good opportunities to schedule and build retail orders when the parts and position on the line is taken up by a stock order? Do they not have a way to force the older orders into production? Do they have the means and lack the will? I also hope to come to this understanding without driving my dealership insane or somehow getting my order placed on the "do not ever build this machine" list. I can be a little much when I get a bee in my bonnet like this, and I'm extra extra on my vehicle.

Yes, they scheduled last week. Did anyone get a VIN and build week?
