This isn't the ideal time to even find a cheap hold over. It's a nightmare scenario for a lot of folks...at this point heck id even consider contacting a local Ford dealer to see if you could snag a full size big bend bronco.
I was thinking about it too. You know, I find the whole Bronco gazillion of trims and options super confusing. I would have to figure out what's comparable to BL+BL. Might need to expand my search just in case.

Highly unlikely you can grab a big Bronco but some times luck happens. Stories over on facebook, even recent stories, ppl got lucky grabbed a BL with BL Package cause ppl special order did not show up. Most recent one guy snagged Rapid Red BL BL Package steelies it was special order he said ppl could not get loan. He said he paid 40k I think he did pretty good. I dont think he realizes how lucky he is cause very low chances of that happening.

My thoughts if you got a dealer ordered big bend I have to believe it would be the sport X10...and if the sport came through your sell the bronco in a heartbeat. Or...keep the bronco and enjoy. The big bend is pretty solid four door with a 2.3 L Ecoboost.

According to broncoG6 the demand for hard tops has pushed ford to hold those to 2023 and build big bend soft top 4dr for dealer stock. People are losing their minds. It may be more possible than the elusive badlands sport.

ETA as delivery ETA? If so then they expect to ship it roughly a month earlier, ie mid August. So basically the currently shutdown plant re-opens a week from now and for already built cars they expect to have no chips available for another month and a half. Great... I'm doing this mental gymnastics cause that paints a near term picture for the rest of us a bit further down in the queue.

Hang in there, at least it's been (mostly) built.

Optimist says...maybe Ford is hedging bets they will accumulate enough chips to fill orders asap. We all know chips are in unobtanium level demand...but there are also companies out there doing all they can to get in the game. Hope is eternal.
I don’t have any confidence in this.

Only thing we know is Ford will do all they can to complete builds delivery vehicles. Not making any money unbuilt or partially built units.

Wanted to run something by you all. Another dealer I talked to says I can put down a deposit on incoming vehicle ordered for someone else. If, and that's a big if, they back out then I can have it. Deposit is refundable. Now here's the kicker - dealer asked for my SSN. ? I said no thanks. They say it's their corporate policy (AutoNation chain) and wont budge.

I have never heard dealers insisting on SSN that early before purchase is agreed on. About the only thing I can think of is that they wanna run my credit, which they claim they aren't gonna do. My currently order required no SSN.

So, I'm not sure if what they're asking for is legit or not. I'd appreciate some advice. Thanks.

I dont think Auto Nation has good reputation. I would look over reviews. And SSN they dont need that.

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking. The chips will come in in the middle of July, they'll take their time installing the chips and doing there quality checks. Then they will start shipping out the first of August

Requiring your SSN and like you said they would probably run your credit…all on the slim chance someone backs out of their order. I think I’d pass on that.
