Just started looking at a Sport for the wife when I realized it was the same size as my Outback and Legacy!!! ....and now I find this bit of video!!

I know the bash plates are made to take the impact, but it was still painful to hear it in the video. What are they made out of? Can we expect them to rust after getting scratched and dented?

Looked like he scraped the front bash plate. Also looked like he could have easily avoided that.. he steered the passenger tire right into the lowest part of that rock. I’m an offroad noob but I would have steered either left or right of that rut..

Every time i watch this video, I still hold my breath there at the last?
