What is a RDU
Raleigh-Durham International Airport. It’s in North Carolina. Or the Rear Drive Unit. Contains the twin clutch assembly. I always get them confused. :p

Anyone experience the vehicle shuddering when breaking and turning , especially right?? It just happened to me at a parking lot and I thought I hit the curb or something, it startled me. I was ironically coming back from the dealer. I had a recall fixed and I did mention this issue and they said they would need one of their "higher techs" to look at it and it would be 200.00 to diagnose. What just ran through my head as I drove home is that it might have something to do with the lane assist, I like the lane assist so I usually keep it on but I turned it off to see is the issue continues. If that takes care of it then I will only use the lane assist on long trips.
Mine does it too, did it fix the problem?

Oh wow, yes I know my husband goes to O'reillys or Autozone to borrow that machine. Ok, I'll let him know this information and have him do that. You are awesome!!!! Thanks you so much!

So he said that wouldn't be it. So he didn't take it but now he has experienced it himself, my son hates it, I hate it and it scares me sometimes and it's happening every time I drive it now. I read another guys post about it and he had the same thing going on. He took it to the dealer and then his trusted mechanic and he told him it happens a lot with the BS, he advised him to have the RDU replaced or trade it for another vehicle, which is what he said he would do. The guy said he's distraught t , I'm distraught! We just got new tires! I'm gonna find out when the powertrain warranty is expiring. Don't know what to do but my gut is telling me to trade it while I can. As the guy said, ticking time bomb.

My back door seal also likes to fall off. Did they just glue it in place?
I don't know how they fixed it, but it hasn't come loose since. Maybe they forgot the glue at the factory.

After reading about the RDU problems, I had the fluid changed in mine and got an extended warranty.

Anymore I buy the Ford extended warranty when I buy a new car. Used to be that more likely than not the extended warranties were really not worth the cost. I do not feel that way anymore. There are no inexpensive repairs anymore. Reading about all of the issues on the forums (not just this one) just reinforced my decision to by the Ford ESP. I know that there is a school of thought that you only hear about complaints on the forums but the other side of that coin is that the forums are a small segment of the population and I look at the complaints on the forums and think that the actual numbers of issues could be a much larger segment of the population that just does not go to these forums to post their issues. Also I do not think a lot of people are as in tune to their cars as the people who post on these forums and do not bother to bring their cars into the dealer until something completely breaks.

My 24 BS is in the shop for a noise under the engine compartment when making low speed turns and accelerating from a stop or almost stopping and accelerating. No shudder just noise. It only lasts a couple of seconds. The Forman heard the noise and the dealer has been trying to figure it out but they also have heard the noise in another BS so probably will not do anything at this point and I will have to wait until the noise gets worse or something finally fails. At least they gave me a loaner to use in the mean time.

I have the same issue in my 2021 BS Badlands. The dealer here in the Dominican Republic didn't find anything, neither a trusted mechanic. The dealer said it was RDU related nor the brakes, my friend just told me "it's a lemon". I'm also considering trading it for a new one, but the dealer said that they're not going to bring the new BS. The dealer said the the issue won't leave my behind and that I can drive it as usual.
