Will someone explain to me which usb ports are always on and which are keyed power on my 2025 bronco sport? I'm trying to figure out which port to power my dash cam.
I ordered a dongar usb adapter to use the powered mirror connection but they sent me one for a 21-24 sport. 2025 connections are different.

I just checked all my USB ports with the following results:

PORT
SUPPORTS
IGNITION OFF
IGNITION ON
ENGINE ON
USB-C Upper Dash LeftPower OnlyPoweredPoweredPowered
USB-C Upper Dash RightPower OnlyPoweredPoweredPowered
USB-C Lower ConsoleData & PowerPoweredPoweredPowered
USB-A Lower ConsoleData & PowerPowered PoweredPowered
USB-C Rear Console LeftPower OnlyPoweredPoweredPowered
USB-C Rear Console RightPower OnlyPoweredPoweredPowered

What I really want to see is the voltage and amperage supplied at each. Whatever it is, it's not enough to drive my Klein USB tester, with or without a load.

That’s odd, the Klein USB tester should work fine on all three USB-C and -A ports

Mine works so maybe order a new one from Amazon and if it has the same issue return with free shipping

With ignition off, those USB Ports and all 12V power ports by default should Shut off after a delay right

OP asked .. which USB Ports are always on and which are keyed power

Oh, it works fine on everything but the BS. When I have more time, I'll goof with it some more.

Based on my quick test, none of the USB ports are switched power, though as you noted they are all on a delay.

But with ignition off, all eventually power off after a delay right? Your table shows ignition off column as Powered but would be Off after the delay. Or maybe I’m not interpreting your table correctly

No, you got it, I just didn’t specify the delay, just if it was switched or not.

Related, I believe there’s a setting for the length of delay in FORScan.

That always on setting doesn’t look to be available in FORScan but might give a max of 10 hours or so if the battery does not get too low

Also looks like perhaps one FORScan setting controls all of the USB and all 12V Power Ports

Limitations & Warnings
• BCM does not offer a true “always-on” mode like hardwired battery power.
• Long timeouts (e.g. 10 hours or FFFF) may keep ports live overnight, but:
• Some vehicles still shut them off if battery voltage drops too low
• USB controllers may auto-disconnect if they sense inactivity or thermal limit
• You must monitor battery health if you use extended or always-on USB power.

Odd that there is no Keyed power on any of the usb ports. It would have been nice to have at least on that shuts off when the engine is off!

Not sure what you mean - all USB ports and all 12V Ports shut off when the engine is off (when ignition is turned off)… there may be a delay but they all shut off
