Trunk Latch Liner Issue

About 2 months ago, the foam lining inside the trunk latch started coming undone, as in it's showing through the space between the trunk and the trunk latch. I'm guessing it's coming out while I'm driving, but I'm mainly driving on the freeway and smooth surface streets, so I don't know why it would come off like that other then it probably wasn't applied correctly in the first place. Is anyone else having this problem, and if so, have you done anything to fix it? I'm just pulling it off in little pieces which may cause issues later because the liner is some kind of foam, and I'm guessing it helps to dampen vibrations between the latch and the trunk. Any suggestions? I doubt this kind of thing is covered under the warranty, but maybe?

2024 with most of your bumper to bumper 3yr 36k miles remaining - the dealership will order the necessary parts and fix that at no cost to you

Is it possible that you have a rodent problem? Mice chewing up the insulation and then as you drive it works it's way out of the gap around the handle.

It better not be rodents! I'm taking it to the dealer today, so hopefully they can take apart the door and check.
