Just checked the TPMS readings for both my vehicles. Most were good with some several pounds high or low. I made the necessary changes. When I started both vehicles, the TPMS readings had not changed. How long does it take the TPMS system to detect changes and makes the adjustment to the screen?

I check my pressure regularly. Takes only a minute or two while driving freeway speeds.

TPMS wont typically update until the vehicle is driven AFAIK. You should always use a manual gauge if you aren't already and then double check the TMPS after driving for a bit

That’s odd Mike. This last weekend I deflated my tires, checked the system and it read exactly as the pressure gauge. After a few hours of playing, inflated the tires, and the reading was exact again. Each time was about 5-10 minutes after using the compressor and no driving.

TPMS sensors use a centrifugal switch to turn them off and on. Tires need to be spinning to activate. At least that's how it use to be
