Yokohama Geolander GO15 If you seek quiet economical smooth road handling and AT performance.
This tire is on my 2003 Escape two years now and they are soon to go on my Broncs Sport.

I seems to me that most of the folks on this forum that have gone to 245's have chosen BFG KO2s. Myself included. My BL came with Falken Wildpeaks 235/65/17 and after a month in CO on trails and forest roads I replaced with the KO2s. I wasn't unhappy with them, they are great tires. I just wanted a more aggressive tread because I often drive in muddy or snowy pastures with no roads. I got stuck twice last winter and I'm tired of that.

The Wildpeaks are super quiet, the KO2s a littler noiser. But not bad. My son has run KO2's on a couple of F150s. He got 80,000 miles on the first one and has 75,000 on his current truck. Still a lot of tread on those tires. I've never put this many miles on a vehicle before I traded it, so don't anticipate replacing these. Both of these are good tires, you won't go wrong with either. If you don't have a BL/FE I suspect the 245s will rub without a lift. I'm not sure mine won't under a lot of articulation. I don't want a lift.

Ford says the max you can fit on a BL/FE are 30.5s. 245s should be around 29.5 so we should be OK

I was wondering about these let me know. I went with the Toyo open country 3s but haven’t gotten them installed yet.

I just want to clarify something, What car and tire combination were you on when when you got stuck, because I'm not 100% sure you are saying you got stuck with the BS while on the Falkens?

I'm saying I replaced the 235 Falkens with 245 KO2s because I wanted a more aggressive tread for mud and a stiffer sidewall for rock-strewn trails. Capishe?

Yoko Geo’s are on. upped from 225 to 235 65R17.
I wanted to keep my same rollout/gear ratio’s. These weigh only five pounds more and are only 1/3 inch different in height. This kept my revolutions per mile very close to stock.

You need to be more specific, unless you are just asking about the brand, in general. What specific GY Wrangler? You might want to check Tire Racks customer survey and/or their test results.

Edit: I think I've identified that tire as the A/T Adventure with Kevlar. If so, it's a really old tire design and finished 26 out of 28 tires, in their customer survey and did poorly in the rain.
