If I understand what you're saying here, Ford itself will not install aftermarket parts on one of its cars, but a Ford dealership can, and some do, which is true.
Finding a Ford dealership willing to install aftermarket parts for you can be a smart move. It may cost more than a local shop, but if the tech makes a mistake at the dealership during installation you have a better chance of getting any resulting issues satisfactorily resolved.
I agree if you can find a ford dealership to do it. I had a readylift first installed by 4wp which I thought are very experienced in leveling kits and totally blew it and did not want to remedy the problems. So I ended up buying the hrg kit and doing the install myself, knowing that I would do it properly. I’m not a mechanic, and also lost use of four fingers on my dominant had( table saw). It is a very easy install. The holes are 2 tiny holes to hold a plastic clip to raise sensor wires, I used a 10.00 step bit. If you can find a friend to lend a hand to hold up strut when reinstalling,it’s very simple. Watching the video on YouTube helps.agreed 100% - Ford shop is probably the way to go.
my problem is, i can't leave a car alone. i love to wrench and mod. red seal collision mechanic by trade, plus access to all the tools and shop i could possibly dream of.
