All passenger side rear tail lights out after getting bumped hard enough to lightly damage the lense. Why would that effect all the lights in the tail light assembly? Can't find a fuse for this if there is one common to all the lights. Also, seems to be easy to break the plastic attachment parts too. Any trick to removing without risking damaging things. Info would be appreciated. Did a forum search and didn't find anything specific to these topics.

Thanks for the reply. I watched this video and several others. Helpful, especially the warnings about fittings breaking. I let the sun warm up the car and then disassembled using a tool. (Was easier than I thought.) Still unsolved why all the lights went out except: The wires are like #24 or #26 gauge. If their solid rather than stranded, they will crack or break. Someone had pulled the tail light before, electricians tape around insulation and I believe cracked at least the grd. (Common to all lights.) Or the grd is bad someplace. Wire color codes didn't match diagrams I down loaded but C415 had numbered sockets. Removed old elect. tape and wrapped it again, put it back together and the lights worked! Amazing! Moral of the story, when replacing bulbs, be very careful not to stress the wiring?

Glad you got it all working again....still puzzling as to why they stopped after the bump you mentioned. I guess the tape job you found was due to the same issue by another former owner.

I don't want to beat this topic to death but I found out the lights went out 2 weeks after the bump so cause and effect probably doesnt apply. (Don't want to be the cause of internet misinformation) The videos I saw all had tape and Insulation too. Could be a stress point and a tech bulletin or factory work around.
Anyway, those wires are way to small. Also and very last comment on this topic: years ago when I was familar with Ford engines, I know they made many changes and variations, probably still do. May explain the wiring. Will check with dealer and their wire diagrams.
