Did they really say it would add that much time? I got notice on the night of 20 January that my OB was ready to go into production with an estimated build date of 14 February. The same day, my wife decided that she wanted a tesla, so i figured I would take the OB. The next day I called the dealer and asked for a paint change and an addition of the package that included the B&O. Thankfully, he was able to add it pretty much last second (I just wish i added that cargo package - i thought it was dealer installed. dumb.).
About a week later, I got notice that production was pushed forward a week. And then I got another notice, and then once more - so overall, build date was pushed from 14 February to 8 March. 3 Weeks delay from original quote. Took delivery on 1 April.

I got a Badlands, and the B&O only comes with the premium package, which is a major stumbling block to production scheduling. I only added 360+, cargo management, and 235 tires and was scheduled 2 weeks after order. Some people with the premium package that ordered last year are only just now getting scheduled to be built in June.

Where is the subwoofer located in the BS? Under the right side passenger seat? I've been trying to figure this out but haven't found much on it. I have the Sony Premium Sound System in my 2014 F150 and love it. When I test drove a base model BS, non premium it was horrible when I tried to turn it up and listen to some tunes. I'm seriously hoping for a better improvement with the B&O system over the base non B&O. But not sure how this would stack up against my Sony Premium sound system.
I love my audio, I just wish I had the opportunity to test drive the 2.0 BL edition before actually ordering one.

Even the grill is in the shape of a 6x9. I bet the door speakers aren’t that much different from the “sub”. Is also not a sealed box. It’s basically mounted open air to a speaker mount. So you’re losing bass response since the whole rear quarter is an open air sub box.
Once mine comes in, I’ll pull it and check the ohms, etc it’s using and see if I can put a shallow mount 8” sub in, or glass a spot.
I’ve never seen a manufacturer use something like that for a sub. Like a door sized speaker and or a door speaker. Be a month probs until I can tear into one, but I’ll update this board with what I find.
Also a guess but that’s probs why there’s no bass. The cutoff is probably 60hz if that. Plus whatever the amp crossover is set at. Others have said switching it to surround helps increase the sound, volume, bass etc. Just going on what I’ve read on here with the different sound settings others have mentioned.
I’d also try playing good music off a thumb drive and a smartphone in a lossless format if the BS will play it. Don’t use radio and def not xm since the bitrate is basically drive thru. You guys should try that and post back

I am going to try to tap into the high level outputs of the rear sub and hook up a LOC. Does anyone know if they set the sub to roll off at some lower frequencies for the subwoofer's protection?
OMG! This is pretty unacceptable.
I hunted all over for a Badlands edition largely to get one with this upgraded stereo in it. And a 6x9 for a sub??

I would assume. Deminsions are listed as 13.81L x 7.31W x 14.44H. You would think you could shoehorn at least an 8” sub in there. I replaced the factory Sony 8” sub in my truck for a JL 8w3v3, I’d be happy if I could get one of those in there with a 150-200 watt amp.
I’m sure my curiosity will get the better of me sooner or later and I’ll pull the side panel out to see, but I’d really like to wait until the “new” has worn off before I start pulling it apart.

Finally got to play with one today. Used my thumb drive since they’re all high quality files. Even adjusting all the settings I could, it sounded ok. Definitely lacks punch. But it sounds like there’s no distinct highs and no lows. It’s like this distant midsy sound, hollow. Like the singer is right in front of you and the band is in the field behind them. The vocals are clear though. But you have turn it up to 20 at least to get some balance out of it. Sounds better higher volume. Lessens some of that sound. Reminds me of the older Sony systems Ford used. But yes def is lacking.
This thread makes me feel old. My first vehicle was a 1997 F-150 and I put a 12 inch Kicker Solo-Baric sub in the back. Now I have B&O with the same sub and setup many complain about and I’m like “volume 12 is fine” ????‍
