I have a '23 Outer Banks (1.5L) coming next month. I already have an engine cover ordered for it. The question is whether a Steeda strut tower brace will fit a 1.5 engine with an engine cover installed
Hi, I have a 1.5 OB and I sent a message a few months ago to Steeda asking if it would fit a BS with the smaller engine and after doing a test, they send a message back saying it will not fit because the 1.5 engine has fuel lines that extend out high on the firewall. A guy named Ron at Steeda told me that he will pass the issue on to the engineers to come up with an answer. I have not heard back.

I talked to Steeda to ask them if the brace for the '21-'22 would fit a '23. I never specified which engine I have. My new brace is sitting in my cellar waiting for my Outer Banks to be built and delivered. I'll let everybody know if it will fit the 1.5 when I get it.

Gotta ask if you ever found out if it'll fit or not?

Bolted right up no problem. I had to put it under one of the hoses coming up the firewall. There is a YouTube video installing one on a '22 Maverick that shows it very well.

Awesome. Thanks for the info. Got one sitting here waiting on my Big Bend to arrive. Figured if it didn't fit I'd just throw it on my Maverick if it ever gets built.

Looks good. Do you happen to remember the torque number for the strut bolts?
