Hi everyone,

I have a 2021 Bronco Sport Badlands and I’ve been dealing with a persistent noise issue I can’t seem to get resolved.

There’s a clunking or knocking noise that seems to come from the front end when driving over uneven roads or potholes. It feels like something is loose, but I’ve taken it to the dealer three times and they insist it’s not the suspension and can’t identify the problem.

Additionally, I’m getting a loud moaning or groaning sound when turning right and braking — like when pulling into a garage or tight turn at low speed. It’s very noticeable and doesn’t sound normal.

Has anyone experienced anything similar? Any suggestions on what to look into or ask the dealer to check specifically would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

I have the same issue. It just started in the last two months or so. 2022 Badlands, 67k miles

I’m beginning to think these vehicles just wear out quickly. Thinking of dumping mine for a hybrid 4Runner.

Yeah, I’m starting to feel the same way. Mine just hit 18,283 miles and even though I really love it, it’s probably not the best vehicle for the kind of roads we have here in the Dominican Republic. Feels like it's wearing down faster than it should.

The clunking noise might be a bad strut. My brand new 24 badlands had a bad strut from the start. Made the clunk noise going over sharp bumps, pot holes or sewer covers. Took 2 visits to the dealer before found the issue. Even though I told them either something is loose or a bad strut.

I have both, 4runner is much better if you want to keep a vehicle for 10+ years, new hybrid 4runner TBD , but 4th and 5th gen are proven.

Our 2021 Bronco Sport has had every known issue on this site, and its never seen so much as a dirt road. It goes to and from the grocery store or work, where the 4runner has been all over the country on some of the roughest terrain you can imagine, along with pulling a trailer.
Both have 55k miles on them. Never a single issue with 4runner (other than horrible gas mileage :).

Currently chasing what sounds like a bad CV or wheel bearing in the front of the Bronco, and or loose bolts/ bod struts.

Already had the rear diff replaced, battery, rear brake issue that never has been resolved, fuel injectors, fairly poor gas mileage for a 1.5 liter 3 cyl, seat belt issue. Everything has been handled by Ford / dealer no charge but still a pain in the rear.

Hello everyone, greetings from Colima, Mexico. Just to let you know that I was experiencing a noise in the front end when accelerating, braking, or going over some imperfection. It sounded like a metallic noise, as if something were coming loose. They diagnosed the engine mount, which is on the transmission side.
