I have both, 4runner is much better if you want to keep a vehicle for 10+ years, new hybrid 4runner TBD , but 4th and 5th gen are proven.
Our 2021 Bronco Sport has had every known issue on this site, and its never seen so much as a dirt road. It goes to and from the grocery store or work...
pretty sure nothing works, have not tried the last TSB, but all prior ones have failed for us, along with switching to ceramic pads. New pads of any type have "cured" it for about a month, but once they get a little wear on them the noise returns.
Our dealer replaced the pads and rotors, free of charge, lasted about 6 months, then the noise came back. Probably just as the perfect amount of wear on the rotor /pads creates this noise.
We rented a brand new one last week with 1200 miles on it, no noises in wet humid cold weather

2 weeks later now, with the fresh set of pads (probably the same as Original ones) and no moaning so far. Its been wet and cold nearly every day.
So we shall see after another few thousand miles if it returns after the wear more.
Would you happen to have a part number for the Ceramic pads? If there even is a ford one. They are still writing up the paperwork to warranty it with Ford, as Ford wanted to close it out as a "wear" item / no problem / cosmetic issue.
I could confirm what they installed once I have the paperwork...
Same here, had the TSB fix applied 2 days ago. 2 days later, just as bad as before. Was good for 1 day. Disc brakes have been around for a long time, so what is so different about these? Is it the type of pads, or poor caliper design? The vehicle has about 15,000 miles on it, its done it as...
