My favorite Ford is still my 2010 Mustang.
Fairlane, Ranchero, Mustang, F-150, LTD, Maverick- the car, Chateau Van, Transit Connect XLT Wagon, Old Ranger, Econoline van, Taunus(West Germany), I may have missed one or two.
Mopars, Cuda(3), Dart(2)
Chevy, Camaro(2), Impala(2), Nova,
Toyota, Celica, Tacoma(5), Corona, Corolla,
Honda, CVCC, Accord,
,
Only ones I ever loved was the Mustang, Barracuda’s and the Impala’s.
I blew up the Nova before I fell for it. :’P

Ford Marketing did its job that's for sure. Just like many on here, they caught me hook, line, and sinker. What I admire about the Bronco Sport is the fact that it's so unique in its design inside and out. No typical bland and swoopy crossover. It's upright, boxy, and retro with a modern flare. And the fact that the standard 1.5L I-3 feels and sounds like a typical turbo 4 cylinder is astounding. I would've never have known there was a three-cylinder under the hood. Last year, I test drove a Cactus Grey Outer Banks and was pleasantly surprised by the power and refinement. There was no engine noise or wind noise. Also, the seats were nice and plush. I have one on order for my mom and can't wait to get it for both her and I. Plus, it'll go nicely with my Maverick Lariat, its platform mate.

Good evening all! Just reading through the posts. I just ordered my BS OBX in Cactus Gray. I would say the “conquest” is ? percent the reason for me. I too saw the Super Bowl commercial two years back and was hooked. I love the retro styling and “different” look the BS has. I’m a Gen X’er and have only bought import vehicles, so this is my first domestic I have ever owned. I’m excited to get the BS in several months!

First car was a mustang.
Then a saturn sedan. Next a volvo suv. And now getting ready to trade in a Toyota highlander for the bronco sport I'm ordering.
But I really expected I'd be getting another Toyota. The bronco sport was a happy surprise when i saw it in person.

I have owned a Ford Ranger and two Expeditions. My wife had a 2010 Honda CR-V that I could not stand. We sold it and bought a BS Badlands and we both love it. We tow a small teardrop trailer and on short trips we use the Sport. On long trips we use the Expedition with its greater payload.

I’m a Gen Xer (‘66) so I had the 80s mindset that domestic cars were crap. For some reason the same mindset didn’t apply to trucks when i traded up from compact (beater Nissan hardbodies) to half tons ( I’m on my second F150).

Eighteen years of fairly trouble free Fords meant the BS BL was an easy choice, plus the wife loved the 70s/80s nostalgia bit.

So not really a conquest, more a slow conversion.

Late to the thread...
My husband and I are in the last 7% of miscellaneous BS buyers... Boomers who are long time Ford truck and suv owners, empty nesters, dog owners, and snow belt residents. Needing safe, affordable, solid transportation. Majority of compact suv models look so boringly similar. Our BS BB Area 51 "Cheyenne" is unique and suits us perfectly...that I owned an '84 Bronco II for 12 years makes our BS purchase admittedly nostalgic...:)

I owned a Superduty Tremor and an Edge SEL for the wife. I really wanted a daily driver that could go on any road in any weather. Since I know from experience that Subaru's are poorly designed and even more poorly built, I wouldn't even look at one.

Then out comes the Bronco Sport. Perfect! Built by Ford in one of their best plants. Did not take long to convince the wife. Its the perfect Subaru killer!

Now we both drive cool cars!

It was inevitable for me. I'm an outdoorsy USFS employee and I was driving a Hyundai Accent. The Sport had me hook, line, and sinker from the first commercial I saw during the 2021 Superbowl. I knew I needed it and it would suit me beautifully. Conquest is almost an understatement for how well the Sport has been marketed to folks like me.
Agreed! The Sport has been everything I really wanted my Escape to be.

Agreed, just be careful. I found myself sitting at a stop light one morning with a Pontiac Grand Am just like mine sitting in front of me, and another sitting behind me. Decided right then I wanted something different, as in I would never see another car like mine on the way to work. Wound up with an Audi Cabriolet. Really nice car, and fun to drive with the top down, but if you think Ford service shops are expensive then you've never owned an Audi...or BMW
Audi and BMW are super expensive to repair!
