Spider No Drill Roof Rack

Hey all
This weekend I was at Spider No Drill Roof Rack located locally in Southern California. The Bronco was measured by them and will be making a prototype Rack for it.
I got to meet the owner who actually measured the Bronco. We got to Chat and invision on how the Rack would look. It was also great hearing how he started and that he understood the value of people that work and want a product that will last. He and his family are big on Overlanding. If they aren't building racks on the weekends you can find them on the trails.. I learned a whole lot of him, his company, and about being out on the trail.

Well there might not be a whole lot for the Bronco yet but rest assured that a low profile Roof rack will be in production sooner then Later.

He's gonna go with no rails. It will be bolted on using the oem mount points. Thats to give it the lowest profile as possible (it has to clear the safari style top)

This is why I wished for a roof rack delete option on the BS, like on the old Escape.

I'm sure it will. The rack will not sit lower then the rail clearance. It will be sitting a bit higher. But when he gets the prototype mounted he will be measuring all the clearance. More info on that in the weeks to come. He is aware that the bronco comes with a sunroof package. If the the sun roof sits lower then the hight of the safari top rear of the bronco it should be fine.

I have been hoping someone would come along and make a low-pro factory rail delete option. There were at least a half-dozen companies making them for the Toyota Tacoma and 4runner, I always liked the look of them and they allow for much more flexibility for mounting add ons.

Looks very sleek and nice. Definitely interested in products like these.
For those familiar with the Aussie Overlander Ronny Dahl (see video link below), he had issues with a similar type of low profile rack not bolting to the roof securely for reasonable off-road use. This is not a necessary problem with this type of roof rack system, but how they are anchored is important.
