Back when radios had physical buttons for the radio preset, you could perform a Speaker walk-around test.
Whereby it would play static or a source audio on each speaker. The sound would "walk around" each of the speakers. I am not sure what this would accomplish, but previously if you hit a specific preset during this test, it would open up certain troubleshooting menus. Linked below is a write-up for 2008 Ford Escape for a better explanation.

Typical information available
  • Audio DTC
  • Part Numbers of associated modules
  • Version number associated modules
  • Speaker tests
  • Screen Tests
  • Radio signal tests

I found a similar test in the 2021 Bronco Sport Service DVD.
