Hey now! Just brought my new (to me) 2021 Badlands home yesterday. Does the spare tire come with any sort of tool kit, or just the jack? Used to having more tools available, like those that came with my last car (a Lexus).

it's not a lexus. The jack does have a 'tucked in' lug wrench and that's about it for tools. I personally replaced all the lug nuts with one piece black chrome, and the order came with a few extra so I put those in the open space with the spare as well as a breaker bar with socket and some PB spray in the even corrosion ever sets in. Just rotated my tires the other week, they came off smooth, and wheels just slipped right free. I had a Ram 1500 that used to need a baseball bat to get rims off, they had a metal to metal issue that caused them to seize onto the rim mount. Easy peasy with the Bronco so far. You don't need much.
Should have a fuel funnel, spare, that's about all it came with. Plenty of cheap simple kits if you wanted some extras. I had some tow straps I put in there, I 'bought' with Ford points, one of the battery jumpers, works great, my son had it most of the winter with an older car...just look around, I'm sure many will add their input with what they carry.

PB blaster.....check
just added to my list
couple other items to consider

not all roadside repairs will be on flat stretches of roadway/daylight/warm/dry
curves, hills, dips and other line of site obstacles exist
need for attention getters
well placed reflective caution triangles can alert other drivers
flares work well (just not around collision/fuel spills)
small tarp - you will be crawling to the place jack
pair of dry gloves - it might just be below freezing
rain gear - poncho or other with reflective material

In case you have to place your jack in mud, snow or sand where it would dig in… carry a flat piece of wood, like a small section of 2x10 to set that jack on.

Murphy and his law says...it will be all of the above complications when it does happen...great points. Threads like these are helpful for everyone. Great points both of you.

Not sure that PB Blaster is going to make any impact because there is no way to get it to the threads on a wheel. Not the only thing you might need to remove on the side of the road but a wheel is the primary thing.

I have put a little anti-seize on my lug nuts/bolts for more than 2 decades and never have an issue getting them off. I have also applied a very thin coating to the hub-centric area to keep the hub from rusting and making it very hard to get the wheel off after removing the lugs. Since I have been switching between winter/summer setups I usually have to add a little more anti-seize every 3 years or so.

big fan of perma-tex anti-sieze compound
tough to wash off of the hands

I do not recommend anyone to listen to or apply the following
but.......
years back I'd use the thinnest layer of anti-sieze compound on the sliders of my brake calipers.
if the vehicle sat for an extended period of time I would never worry about calipers locking up from inactivity.
the caution is to not allow any of the material to contact pads or rotors
