Could be a bad rear shock. If a shock isn't putting constant downward pressure keeping the tire stuck to the pavement it can cause to tire to almost skip down the road as you drive.

If you look closely at the tire towards the front, there seems to be extreme wear in the center, then it kinda radiates to the edge at the top of the tire. Weird. Either way, that tire looks like it should have been replaced awhile ago. Wonder what the others look like..I could not tell by the pic if the tire was worn all the way around, so I assumed it was, and figured if the other 3 were OK, that one could have been overinflated.
Then again, over inflation causes the center of the tire to wear, and not the side.
Beats me. Maybe the OP will post them. I'm assuming the OP will be getting the tire (or all) replaced. I'd have the suspension of the side the tire was on (or all 4 sides) checked out as well.If you look closely at the tire towards the front, there seems to be extreme wear in the center, then it kinda radiates to the edge at the top of the tire. The tires have 43,000 on them. Here’s a picture of another tire and some close-ups of the bad tire.Beats me. Maybe the OP will post them. I'm assuming the OP will be getting the tire (or all) replaced. I'd have the suspension of the side the tire was on (or all 4 sides) checked out as well.

Everything was tight when I changed it.Loose lug nuts??
Let us know what the tire store says about that tire. I'd like to know for sure the cause of the abnormal wear.I’m getting new tires tomorrow.
A car I ALWAYS wanted : The VW Karman Ghia. I've had VW Buses, one a Westy, and my first car was a 64 Beetle.X2 on letting us know. Back in the '70s, I over inflated the tires in my Karman Ghia and got great mileage (40 mpg) but tire wear only in the center. It was such a light vehicle that after 30,000 miles, they almost looked new except for the center wear.
My first car was a '47 Chevy which had shocks with a lever arm. The rear shock levers came out of the socket and I bounced out of my lane on the freeway. I'd definitley check the shock.
