My '25 OBX has it, and I'm VERY glad I bought it. The reason is because I use it.

If you don't have a need for it, don't get it. It changes the way the car drives and rides. It makes the BS ride very "jeepy". Like I said, I love it, but I take my bike to some very out of the way places.

I don't use mine as intended nearly enough, but I do make an effort. The extra goodies of the Sas package are precisely why I chose it. Each of the upgrades over the standard trim have utility and value to me. The ride is definitely stiffer than without it, it's more truck-like without being jarring, which I prefer.

It was a no-brainer for me also. Most people would not prefer the ride differences.

Truth be told, I prefer the OBX interior but the 1.5 was a deal-breaker for me. Sure, I took a hit on fuel economy, but I wanted the power and tow capacity boost, plus the seemingly endless issues with the smaller motor was something I just wasn’t willing to take a chance on, MPC notwithstanding.

About being more “jeepy,” “truck-like,” and “stiffer.” I just replaced a Wrangler Rubicon with a Bronco Sport Big Bend with the Black Diamond package, so no Sasquatch, but the Bronco Sport’s ride is definitely stiffer than the Wrangler’s and I would never describe the Wrangler’s ride as truck-like. Trucks do tend to be stiff when unloaded. A Wrangler’s stock ride is very compliant and not at all truck-like. Now their steering tends to be reminiscent of 1970s truck-like, but not the ride (in reality the steering isn’t that bad, but definitely different than almost everything else made in 2026). I have no idea how the Badlands or Badlands Sasquatch suspension compares to the Big Bend because my purpose in switching to the Bronco Sport was better fuel economy. I had gone the places I needed a Wrangler for. But if the Sasquatch is “stiffer,” it is definitely not more “jeepy” unless that is intended to refer to CJs and YJs, with their leaf springs, and not to Jeeps of the last 20 years.

One of these days we will go off road with our 25 OBX Sasquatch. Like it a lot, yes stiffer but we did a Medford Oregon down to Napa CA area and around and was great on road. Got 27mpg all around. It liked the winding hills roads fine. When I need extra boost put in Sports mode on road the 1.5 with Turbo has more go than our 2 liter 25 Escape Turbo and really does change it’s pep. Just my opinion. Also like it is a little more elevated. Some think it is bigger than a Compact SUV but that is class it is in. Thanks.

Badlands has the HOSS suspension and is higher than regular sports and more goat selection 4 wheel diff lock and 4x4lock button. Mine rides stiff but I jest put new toyos instead of the wild peak

Sasquatch adds 29” Goodyear A/T’s, another ~1/2” lift, additional skid plates, HOSS 3.0 using Bilsteins w/reservoirs (over the “stock” HOSS 2.0), increased cooling, 360-degree camera, brush guard and fender tie downs (on the ‘25 MY), recovery points all the way around, and steel bumpers.

These responses are all so fascinating to me. I have a ‘25 BadSquatch and I’ve had 2 Wranglers, and traded in an MB C300 for my ‘squatch. I don’t think it rides “Jeepy” at all! Just the opposite. What it also doesn’t do, is feel like I just dropped in to a chasm every time I hit a pothole like the ‘Benz did. I’m at just under 10K on my Bronco, and I’m always looking at vehicles just for smiles & grins, and honestly? For the price point I can’t find a better vehicle. I haven’t had a single issue with it. I was looking for a vehicle for my daughter, and liked it so much I brought one, then i got her one too!

I went from a Subaru Forester to a Big Bend Black Diamond, and I noticed right away that if felt more “truck-like” than a Forester.

Today I finally got to look at a 2026 Sasquatch and it was nice, had all the options even the garage door opener on the visor, sunroof etc.
So naturally I had to check it out underneath and the yellow shocks as far as skid plates etc it had no more than my 2025 Badlands. What made me drool was the rear bumper, there wasnt room to park beside the Sasquatch but it was easy to tell mine had more ground clearance with the B8 terrasport.
I would also like to have the fender flares lol.

@Garth I had the same experience. I was able to park my 21 BL (1.5" HRG lift and 245/65/17 Falken AT4Ws) directly in front of a brand new Sasquatch at the local dealer today. Hood to hood, you can clearly see mine is about 1.5-2" higher. The same was true for the lower horizontal surface of the rear bumper in front of the license plate.

This is NOT a dig to the new BL Sasquatch. If they didn't cost so much, I would have considered buying one. I just couldn't justify that kind of money for my "daily" vehicle, and I have a bad habit of being VERY picky with my cars if they are too nice. I can't stand getting that first scratch or dent!

But, if you have a non Sasquatch model and you have ground clearance envy, it's not difficult or expensive to equal or better the new Sasquatch's ride height.

The one I looked at was 56k before tax which is 13% up here. The Sasquatch package was 4500. This one had the tie downs one the fenders as well Im sure there are incentives, there have to be.

I realize there is some Canadian currency conversion in that $56K price, but even ignoring the conversion and huge tax, I'd never pay that much for one of these vehicles. I got mine used with 23K miles for less than half of that (US$). It's not just the BS. All new vehicles are way over priced, IMO.

I likely won't be buying anything brand new for a long time, if ever.

Well, when I got my bronco, it was a demonstrator with 4000 km on it so that’s about 2500 miles and I paid the same price pretty well that they were asking for a Toyota RAV4 trail that was almost 3 years older but only had 20,000 km on it. Those Sasquatch’s that I saw yesterday looked pretty darn good other than the price. I think relative comparison of incomes and exchange rates for a Canadian $56,000 is just as painful as it would be for an American in USD.. certainly the price of new vehicles is getting out of hand the Honda passport and Ridgeline that I was looking at two years ago are well over $60,000 now
