I have the HRG skid plate but I'll add that JCR has or is working on, an add on, front lower skid plate that will protect the bumper cover, that works with their engine skid.

what does the HRG skip plate weigh?

I made the mistake of buying the Rival front skid plate for my 2024 Bronco Sport Big Bend (1.5L). It did not go on easily. Though the product is well-constructed, the installation instructions are very poor, and I must have missed an important disclaimer on the related page on their web site:


21-22 Ford Bronco Sport (note: it does fit 23-24 Bronco Sport with polymer oil pan, however you will not be able to change oil without removing skid plate)

21-24 Ford Bronco Sport Badlands (oil change is OK)

It IS possible to change the oil. In fact, the filter access is perfect. The problem is the access panel for the (stupid plastic) drain plug on the oil pan. With some difficulty the plug can be removed, but the oil drains out all over the inside surface of the product. So I'm out over $300 plus installation, and Rival is not attempting to to help. I honestly think they updated the web site AFTER I purchased the product and won't own up to it. I really don't think I would have missed this disclaimer, but it's their word against mine...

I will have to go back and look at them. Is Rival or JCR any better? Maybe be like the hard core guys and just trim off as much as possible in front of the tires? Not sure thats a route a lot of people want to go down though.

I can only speak for JCR and their customer support is PHENOMENAL!
