just got new bad lands. is it suppose to have a fabric material guard on driver side or should it be all metal?

Both. You can visually see the fabric on the drivers side but underneath that should be some metal to cover some parts of the Evqp system.

hope you are ok.

just had it at the shop. seems weird there is just the felt piece on the driver side and nothing on passenger side. still cant figure out what the 4 skid plates are. i see the front one covering engine and oil pan, the one covering the gas tank, but is the heat heat shield material stuff considered as the other 2?

Yes, it is carpet. No, it isn't enough. I ripped mine off the first time I took it off road. There are what appear to be gas lines and electrical wiring under it. Not something I want dragging on a rock. I'll get an aftermarket metal skid plate one of these days, as well as a lift.
