Yes I want split screen so I could see my Navigation and Sirius at the same time. Also would not have to plug my phone in.
I'm a little confused, do you have a BS or are you ordering it? I ask because I am 99% sure you can't add Navigation to the car after the fact, so if you don't have it now you'll only be able to use Android Auto or Carplay for your mapping needs.

As far as Google being better than what Ford offers... I wouldn't actually agree with that. The built in Navigation serves all of my needs, and it doesn't eat my cell data. The Sirius traffic seems just as good, if not better than Google's (can't speak to Waze). As a point of fact, I find the Sync's voice guidance much more soothing than Google's. But hey, this is all just personal preference. I wouldn't turn down either if it was my only option.

It would likely be cost prohibitive to get an upgrade from Ford, but there are aftermarket options.

I have a question about Sirrus XM and Android auto. I have Sirrus XM included in my BS BB .
My question is is there a way to modify or change a setting that will allow my maps off my Android and the Sirrus XM on the Sync to be on the same screen? Because right now they are 2 different programs and 2 screens. I would like to be able to see my Sirrus and map at the same time.
Do you have factory navigation in your vehicle?

Yes I have a 2023 BS BB that came with Sirrus XM and convenience package. Yes you can add factory Navigation to your BS after the fact but it's about 400 on ebay or 1000ish from 4Dtech as stated above and you have to take the dash apart to get to the unit.

No I do not have factory Navigation.
I will add this yesterday driving around I came to find the voice activated text messaging on Android Auto to be superior to Syncs.

IMHO, the Android Auto interface (voice & visual) is far superior to SYNC, which is why I won't be looking for a Nav upgrade for my car. The two major cons to not having SYNC Nav are: 1) you can't have Co-pilot 360+ features (adaptive cruise, lane centering, etc.) without it, and 2) no GPS navigation outside of cell data coverage. The second is easily mitigated by downloading maps to your phone before going on a trip where you might lose data. The first is not easily mitigated; I have resolve myself to the fact I will not have adaptive cruise on this vehicle.

Just to extend your post in a couple areas:

I use CarPlay and as you stated with the Android Auto interface (voice & visual) being far superior to SYNC, same is true for CarPlay which is also far superior to SYNC.

I’m a heavy user of SiriusXM (free lifetime subscription too), and the iPhones SiriusXM App is a terrible interface so I almost never use the iPhones Sirius App. instead I use the Sirius interface built into the Sync Radio. I’ve found good ways to make use of the best of CarPlay features and the Sirius interface on Sync (simultaneously by switching between those two).

Whenever I am not using Sirius, I’m only on CarPlay which has an awesome split screen display feature which works well simultaneously showing Google Maps, Apple Music and my iPhone (for cell phone calls, etc).

I like the adaptive cruise so I have Ford’s Nav and occasionally the Ford Nav has been superior to Google Maps, Apple Maps and Waze (I have all those on my iPhone). However it is very rare that I have a need to use Ford Nav but in the cases I needed Nav, it was there for me to .

If I could have adaptive cruise without getting 360+ and without Ford Nav I would have.
