So, I bought my wife a 25 Outbanks in February this year and I bought myself a 24 Badlands a month later in March. Both vehicles were bought brand new. The service engine light has never came on in either one of these vehicles. I am a disabled veteran. I had a head injury when I was in Iraq. It causes me a lot of memory loss and lack of attention to detail. So, I rely on these (what we called them when I was a mechanic by trade) these "idiot lights", to remind me that it's time to change my oil and do other service. So, as I said, the light has never came on on either vehicle. My wife's odometer was setting at 15,800 yesterday when I took it to the dealer for it's first oil change, and my Badlands odometer was sitting at 11,237 this morning when I took mine in to have it changed. The Oil Life on mine was at 83% at that 11,237 miles. Meaning that I had only used up 17% of that oil changes lifespan. My wife's was at 74% at 15,800 miles. I talked to the service advisor about the lights not coming on on either vehicle and the very unusual slow moving of the Oil Life Reading, and she said she hadn'theard of anything about such a situation. Because, when you reset the oil Life, it starts back at 100% and counts down, so something is apparently wrong with these computers. Anybody else have this happening on their BS's?

To answer your question I also have a Badlands, I typically change the oil in the 5k mile range well before the oil life monitor tells me to do it.
If you purchased the Sports this year that's alot of driving to have 11k miles on one Sport and almost 16k miles on the other Sport in 7 and 8 months respectively. Are the miles correct, the standard oil change interval is basically 1 year or 10K miles, the reminder should have alerted you. There have been people here that hardly drive at all and the oil life monitor still alerted them and they questioned having to change their oil and drove less than 3k miles in a year's time.

My wife drives hers to work every day. It's a half hour drive each way. I am a disabled veteran. My wife and I are Caregivers of a fellow Vietnam Veteran. I go to all of my doctor appointments, plus I take him to all of his doctor appointments. So, yes, those are correct actual miles on each vehicle. We are aware that we are a high mileage family. We average 12,000 to 15,000 miles each year on each vehicle. Our average mileage increased about 5 years ago when we started caring for this War Veteran. As I stated in my thread, the reminder has "not" alerted us, on either vehicle. Thus, the reason for my Thread to begin with. I've been a new car owner for 13 years. In that span I've owned 7 new vehicles and 2 used vehicles that were new enough to have maintenance indicator lights on them. These two Bronco Sports are the only vehicles I have had over the past 13 years that have this problem. I was an ASE Certified Master Technician. I worked for Chrysler for 10 years, plus I was a mechanic in the military. Due to service connected disabilities I had to retire early. While I do have disabilities, I still have retained my common sense. No offense intended by this statement. I just wanted to let it be known where I stand mentality wise. I'm just wondering how many people might be experiencing the same issue. Because, as an owner of two consecutive years, with both experiencing the same problem, it seems like a common issue for Bronco Sports.

Your post documented that you spoke to the service advisor but will they follow up with Ford?

my recommendation is to ask to speak with Ford’s regional tech support person for your area - they often have additional info or can elevate within Ford

I no longer have My 2023 BS BB but have a 2025 XLT AWD Maverick now with the 2.0 EB and have about 3,200-3,300 miles on it and My Oil Life is showing 49%.
