I’m kinda impressed as to what you can fit in one of these little boxes! A whole lot of littler boxes. Community donation drive yesterday. I didn’t think I had anything surplus to donate, but I have a car to do pickups.

Ms. Mutt isn’t happy about our neighbor’s generosity as she’s about ready to get dropped off at home In the first pic since we’re only 2/3 of the way around the list of pickups then. The rest of the backseat space came in handy to finish up the job.

That looks like some homeless peoples vehicles I see every now and then. JK, lol

Coming up on 2 years now. Wow, this is the mileage I should put on in a year. Despite my thinking the BSBL isn’t the ideal road trip vehicle, it did perform pretty admirably though over the past week hauling around 3 people, a week’s worth of luggage for all, and shopping. It really does pack like a box & still beat highway mileage estimates. First leg of the trip was just me & I managed >30mpg, which did drop somewhat adding in 500lb of people, luggage, & shopping.

I get about 35-36 on the highway with my OBX. Definite plus for the 1.5 motor.

That’s honestly phenomenal for a ? shaped vehicle without a hybrid, just a conventional gas engine with turbo. If I read right the highway rating is ‘only’ 28 for the 1.5 so exceeding it by that much is impressive!

Just stumbled upon this thread and it might be my favorite thread on here of all time. (Up there with favorite cruising song thread LOL). I love the positivity and the logging of your experience with the BS whether it be good or bad. THIS is the kind of interactions I love to see on these kind of forums.

That's the highway fuel mileage I get with my Badlands. I think it will do better if I'd stay below 70 mph vs. 80 plus mph.

Thanks! Trying to keep it positive & realistic all at the same time. Nothing is 100% perfect, and may not always be as you expect it. But. There’s always something positive to find. Sometimes it’s obvious, sometimes you have to go looking.

Actually as an aside one more positive I see in my pic is the mixing of units. Ford doesn’t hold you to metric or US only, you’re free to have temps in F if that makes sense with speedometer in kph up north, even if you’d rather see mileage in mpg. Usually you get one or the other & on my old Acura it wasn’t selectable at all. As always, Ford’s tech implementation is ahead of others.

The BSBL economy I found too is highly susceptible to speed. <75mph & you can get this. Last year on my road trip to Montana I was on I-15. At 80+mph with some wind the best I could do was barely 22mpg. Ugh, not ideal for a small car. But not unexpected either for the shape, though the wind didn’t help. I can usually get better than that even at speed.

Beautiful summer day to visit the dealership and bring a new car home!

It’s been an interesting couple hours so far getting the feel for this vehicle. Most notably which all of the pluses & minuses I’ve read about on here I might agree with or not. After all, I’d only test driven an OB & that was a year ago now, so really I’m in the mode of forming my opinions now of the Bronco Sport.

I’ve got a few things to share in many of the threads here too over the next while, but figured why not start my own thread to have a little fun too. I really feel for those November orders still stuck in the waiting room. But I definitely want to thank you all for your help, insights, and just plain fun in getting to this point over the last months!
