Took a little camping trip. Fort Bragg, CA to Burney, CA. Averaged 21 mph using sport mode and 91 octane. Crossed the coastal mountain range, interstate 5 in the valley and over 4,000 feet into the Sierras. Trailer (Sylvansport Go) with inflatable drift boat (Dave Scadden XTC2) on top of trailer (1,100 lbs total). Sport with an extra 200 lbs. I was very impressed on the ease of towing on the freeway and in the mountains. My previous tow vehicle was a 17 Escape with the 1.5 4 cylinder. The Sport 3 cylinder feels peppier than the Escape 4 cylinder.

Deflates to about 30"X20" roll. Will fit in a car trunk. Do a search on youtube for dave scadden, he has videos of them packed as luggage for use on airlines.

We flyfish.

Yes I do recommend. I do have most accessories. I do recommend the cloud layer mattress as the 2" mattres is a little thin.

I know people say the 1.5l is underpowered but I just don't see it. It pulls really well for what it is and I really don't feel it really struggling. Just pulled this this weekend and it's about 1200 lbs of weight and had no issues and there was a lot of winding and uphills and had no issues.

I towed with my 1.5 Big Bend over the weekend, and I didn't find it to be lacking anything. Avg mpg was still 26 on the road. I was really pleased with it, after previously driving a 14' Fusion 1.5, and pulling the same set up with a 14' 2.0 Explorer-I think it has a broader torque curve.

My previous rig was a 01 F350 dullie towing a 36' fifth wheel. Not full timing anymore. This setup lets us go to a lot more places. We are avid fly-fishers. We love the Sylvansport go. It is back to real camping with the tent off of the ground. The go has two seven foot long sleeping areas and a great table for cards and dominoes. I have added the cloud layer sleeping system (4"air foam mattress) and the Dino Max camp kitchen.
