I know I'm in the minority, but I usually have all my audio OFF ... just me and my thoughts.
So I turn off the audio (push the button).
The random thing: Sometimes at key-on, the audio (radio) stays off...other times it fires back up again. Ok, I can just push the button again... but as a retired Ford engineer, the randomness of this system drives me nuts!
Any insights?

Can’t you ask your buddies at Ford to fix that? ?
I always leave mine on siriusXM and the station I last tuned to is always there on startup so I’m no help.

If you connect your phone via cable be sure to disconnect it before opening the door. Since I started doing that I never get a random radio event at engine start.

Thanks, for me the randomosity occurs even with no phone connections.

As I have commented before, I still have issues at start up where Sync does not remember what media I was on at shut down.

I usually play my USB 90% of the time. At start up, 90% of the time it switches to AM or FM, not the USB which was the last media.

I've tried different USB sticks, reformatted them, and Sync is up to date.

This is the only car I've had where this is a problem. Something simple but frustrating to me.
