When I lifted my Jeep Liberty, 4 Wheel Parts said that KO2s would ride too rough, so they put on a lesser tire. When those wore out, I went with the KO2s. You don't have to pump them up to 50 psi. I hardly noticed a difference in ride, but maybe a couple mpg difference in gas mileage. It is hard to know exactly on mileage, because they were larger diameter tires. Offroad, that Jeep was a beast. I got stuck two times (prior to the KO2s) both times when pulling a trailer. It was almost as good as my Sport.
