Me going for a field trip, trotting off into the into woods is only to regroup and hook up with the local militia, we have such.
My ‘community’, the majority of are seniors with half of them being quite helpless. But we do have 12 good men and 3 good women. Plenty to take shifts and watch for looters.
If they come we have a very defendable block-able one way In and out.
Plenty of places on the way up for welcoming party surprises.
We mapped out three fall back kill boxes. All that noise, back up will be right there.
There are three old cantankerous combat vets here to run the show. I trust them. :,D
The police are all local boys and the militias plan is to keep them safe and this small town 100% American polite.
We will be welcoming the,
Bug out people. As long as they contribute to community needs, security, food production, etc. Old people are welcome.
Drug addicts, socialist groups, anti faBLM types will not survive here.
The shelter at home is good for the short term.
But community is what Americans do.
Long term food supplies will be the goal.
Starvation will clean out the herd unfortunately.

During the pandemic two different small towns up here borded up. Controlled entry, Food and fuel deliveries only.
One was a community of 15,000 the other was a bit smaller.
They both kept Covid out for an extra winter buying time for it to mutate to less lethal levels.
They were successful.
We all learned a lot.
