To answer your question about the wheel size, for a vehicle going off road, more sidewall is preferred. 16 is actually better since a 30in tire is about as big as you can go without modifying the pinch welds which is not recommended but fewer choices in the 16 size. In any case, the optional Wildpeaks are a good fit IMO. I would also invest in floor liners. I like the Ford version but there are several variations. Finally, the Carlinkit works great for a wireless connection using the Apple CarPlay.

Bronco Sport Badlands have torque steer when you go full throttle at low speeds. This is because they are front wheel drive biased for fuel economy. Usually stiffer lower control arm bushings solves torque steer. To avoid it dont go full throttle at low speeds ease the pedal down gradually.

Premium fuel allows ECU to increase timing boost for max performance. Some say they feel difference some say waste of money. In my case I believe mine runs a lot smoother and a lot more power on 93 octane. Your mileage may very personal choice you decide

My Badlands has more power then it needs I think its very impressive in that respect. Does not feel like it needs any more power. If you add a tune and anything bad happens likely warranty will be voided. And you wont be able to use any more power at low speeds unless you resolve torque steer issue anyway.

I've had all wheel drive sedans and sports coupes, but this will be my first, very own TRUE off road vehicle. I know much about 'dropping a car', but very little about 4x4 suspensions and lifts. It will be an education for me, for sure.

Knock is a real thing on high temp, high pressure, turbocharged engines, where the air/fuel mixture doesn't always get the best chance to "micronize" at combustion. Thus, the "dirty burn" and "sooty exhausts" of these engines. But the danger for pre-ignition knock is always present. I don't blame you for wanting to run more knock resistant gas. I agree that it helps keep your engine happy, but at the expense of your pocket book. I will probably be running 91 or 93 gas also.

Yeah I tell ppl put 87 octane in there if you dont believe higher octane makes a difference. I run '93 in mine even though I be putting around most of the time.

Have you driven a Badlands Sport yet? They are a lot of fun to drive. I love driving mine.
