Placing in neutral w/o starting?

Does anyone know how to put the car in neutral without having to start it first? I tend to have to roll it back while in the garage. But nothing that I've tried works. TIA

Page 167 of the manual shows how to use 'stay in neutral mode". You have to start the car but you can shut in off in neutral and have it not go into park automatically.

Page 167 of the manual shows how to use 'stay in neutral mode". You have to start the car but you can shut in off in neutral and have it not go into park automatically.
in line with this, is there a way to put the gear in neutral when the battery died or when in a crash? eg car wont start anymore, need to push to the side of the road

good question. since the pb engages electronically there would have to be some voltage for it to engage. if engaged you're SOL imo.

Yeah. You pull the manual release. Both situations are detailed in the owner manual if not on the page 167 that was talked about upthread, then on the following or preceding page.
