I don't know how long ago this happened, just noticed it today. The little panel that has the light that tells you if the airbag is in or not seems to have been pushed back into the dash, leaving a nice little hole. If you look in the picture, you can see the light peeking through the hole!

It looks like my best bet at popping it back in would be to pull off the climate control panel, but not sure how easily that comes off. Anybody had any experience taking that off? Or am I better off letting the dealer fix this one?

I would want to know why it just fell in?
I would assume their is a clip/clips holding it in place? I would get dealer to investigate and repair.

This video is about replacing the APIM in a Bronco Sport, but it shows what you'll have to do to get to the back side of the HVAC panel. It's not for the faint of heart...

There's a thread either here or the Escape forum about using dental floss to pull a pushed in switch back into position then just pulling the floss out.

Thanks for the quick replies everyone. I may give the dental floss trick a try, otherwise I'll let the dealer take care of it.
