I don’t know if Ford is unique in the auto industry where people can buy OEM extended warranty at reduced rates over what their local dealers charge. Do you guys know if this model is repeated by other brands? This is one of the reasons I’ve bought Fords recently. I know I can shop around and find it cheaper or at the very least have that as leaverage when haggling over warranty price.

I checked for both Honda and Toyota recently … did not find a discounted manufacturer provided extended warranty. For the Honda the warranty cost was so reasonable (compared to Ford’s cost) it seemed discounted. I don’t remember the specifics for Toyota but overall seems fairly unnecessary to buy the extended Toyota warranty.

I bought a discounted online Honda Care for my wife's '23 HR-V EX-L from Saccucci Honda. No Deductible 8/100 for $1022. There are others. Hyannis Honda, College Hills Honda etc.
Flood Ford offers discounted warranties and a no deductible 8/100 is $2220 on the Bronco but a lot more parts and issues. If I decide to keep the BS, I'll buy through Flood.

A neighbor just bought Toyota RAV 4 through COSTCO Savings Program. The dealer wanted $4,000 for a 6 year warranty. I checked online for him but could not find any dealers selling the Toyota Extended warranty the way Ford dealers can. He called around to other dealers and they were all within $500 of each other. Almost seems not worth it.

We found a lower price on the Subaru extended warranty but it proved useless. It had an exception for repairing any part that had rust on it. Try to find any part underneath a three year old car that had no rust.

Oh man anything underneath would be exempt right away. Most of those bits & pieces are designed to get a surface coating of rust then not rust further. I mean maybe in AZ that warranty might be useful?
