I recall the rear being worse but then…..I thought only one hole got drilled in the front. The top and bottom screws go into the clips. Push the clips over the plastic trim part.

I can pull mine off if you need me to check if that helps.
I thought the rears were super easy. I just popped out the plastic clips… peeled back the soft liner… installed metal clips… installed screws.

The rears didn’t have any flat black trim in the way like the fronts do.

Don’t worry about pulling yours off yet.

Thanks.

If you want I’ll grab the wife tomorrow to hold the iPad and I’ll make a video of the process to help you out if that’s ok with you but just remember of the time differences I’m on the northeast coast it’s already dark here and it’s 8:30 pm
If you want sure… I get the process just some parts are confusing.

The top hole you drill get the metal U Nut so bolt has something to screw into. The middle two holes just need the two plastic plugs. The center of the plastic plugs need to be pulled out to release them. After plugs are pushed into holes push center of plug in which causes them to expand and lock into place.
Yeah I get all that. The main source of my confusion is the plastic plugs on the front (not the one on the bottom I removed but the other 3) are hidden behind the flat back trim that needs to be drilled.

So am I correct in assuming I need to peel back the soft liner… reach my hand behind the flat black trim and remove the plastic clips… then line up the mudflap and drill the 3 holes… then install the 2 metal clips that take the screws so they can bite… then install the flap with the screw top and bottom and the plastic plugs in the 2 middle.

Correct?

I don't think there is anything to remove behind three holes you drill? Just line up mud flap with bottom bolt drill 3 holes install clip at top ect.

Not totally sure but it felt like 3 plastic plugs were behind the trim to hold the soft liner.

I feel like I’m going in circles. The rear had a circular frame with holes… I popped out the plugs… installed metal clips…. Installed screws.

Assuming same deal here… but black trim is blocking the 3 holes from view.

I’m probably overthinking it… just don’t like working with stuff I can’t see.

Pretty sure if you read all the nitty gritty the OEM style kits say "No BODY drilling". You have some drilling, but it is just into the wheel liner or plastic stuff. The rest makes sense, you're attaching the spring metal piece to form a threaded hole/nut to accept the bolt.

Yes now that I see these videos it makes a lot more sense. I thought it was something like that but seeing the process just made it a whole lot easier to comprehend.

What can I say... I'm all about the visuals. ??

Excellent. Thank you very much for those. As said it makes a lot more sense now. I thought the clips would go on that way and it's nice to see that I was at least headed in the right direction.

I'm at work today and plan on doing this before I leave.

Will follow up with the completed pics. Thanks for all the help everyone. ?

I'm sure I'll be happy once I get them installed... but I do have a question.

I got the rears on with no problem... removed the 4 plastic clips... peeled back the interior soft wall... installed the 4 metal clips... and then the 4 screws with a 7mm socket.

Done deal.

The fronts look to be a different story though.

As you can see... 1 plastic clip removed at the bottom... but there's 4 holes.

???

I can reach behind the flat black trim and feel what I think is more plastic clips... but what's the trick here?

I did a mudflap install on my previous vehicle and it had screws and metal clips and I just clipped the flap to the metal fender lip... this looks to be somewhat different though.

Instructions are confusing and aren't much help... but I have 4 each of the parts shown... metal clips... plastic clips... and 7mm screws... which should be 2 each for each flap.

Can anyone point me in the right direction here? I swear I read "no drilling required" on this... ?
Step 3 shows you have to use a 1/4” drill bit to drill 3 holes. Then you can insert your plastic clips. I just turned the wheel all the way to one side so I could get my drill in the fender well. Your just drilling thru plastic fender so it took literally 3 secs to drill each hole.

Yeah I was definitely overthinking it... for some reason I had it burned into my brain that there was something behind the trim that I could drill into and mess the whole thing up. I thought this way because I felt behind it and felt what I thought were the same rubber plugs that are used elsewhere.

Anyway, it's all good to go now. Took about 20 mins to do both... roughly the same time it took me to do the rears that didn't require drilling.

They are already doing their job too.... see that leaf on the one? I only drove it about 50 ft from the garage to my parking spot. ? They should help with keeping dirt and debris off the side of the vehicle.

Also threw in the OEM mats that just arrived and combined it all into one pic.

Thanks to everyone for the help and the helpful videos.

Just installed mine last week. Half hour at most. Super easy. They fit very well with no gaps.
Yep.... I'm impressed already. Mine is going into the shop tomorrow for PPF and coating and glad I got this done before the appointment.
