Seems like Ford didn’t want anyone wheeling anything but the BL models. No skids, no recovery points, etc and no way to really add unless you fab things on any of the other models.

Sounds like an aftermarket opportunity for someone like HRG.Seems like Ford didn’t want anyone wheeling anything but the BL models. No skids, no recovery points, etc and no way to really add unless you fab things on any of the other models.
Not sure if it was that Ford didn't want people using these vehicles to go off road so much has it wanted a way to differentiate between the trim levels.Seems like Ford didn’t want anyone wheeling anything but the BL models. Yes, Badlands can be taken off-road and all other trims should not.Not sure if it was that Ford didn't want people using these vehicles to go off road so much has it wanted a way to differentiate between the trim levels.
I guess it depends on your skill level and risk tolerance.Yes, Badlands can be taken off-road and all other trims should not.
I'm just saying that is Ford's perspective on model differentiation. I'm not saying that the other trim levels are not capable off-road, just that Ford might not have intended for them to be used that way. The main reason in this discussion being that they did not put any recovery points on the front of those trim levels, which even a lot of "hot hatches" have.I guess it depends on your skill level and risk tolerance.
I get it. I saw this at my local YMCA yesterday. Don't think this car's going off-road anytime soon...I'm just saying that is Ford's perspective on model differentiation. The back of the cover confirms the purpose just in case.
Now I just need to get a tow hook to thread in.
I found a part number for an OEM Ford recovery hook (6M2Z-17A954-A) I can’t remember who posted it, thank you to them. After another walk around, I emembered there was a small panel on the rear passenger-side bumper
