Newbie looking for advice

Took delivery of my 2023 Yellowstone Heritage Limited today and still smiling. I've had the bigger Broncos (1978 and 1984) before and glad to be back from Explorers and F150s, well still have the latest F150. Putting 245 65 r17 KO2s on tomorrow and need advice on splash guards/mud flaps. Not heavy into offroading yet but travel rough gravel roads and some roads that are nearly impassable when there is a heavy rain. Looking for suggestions, thanks in advance.

I've got the big 'ol heavy duty Gatorback Mud Flaps on all four tires. I know they're expensive but they're super nice and have lasted me through 2 different Bronco Sports, lots of off roading fun, and 3 cross-country trips. Highly recommend.

Based on my experience last month at Badlands Off-Road park in Attica, IN, I don't think you need to worry too much about damage from driving on gravel roads. In stock form, the tires remain well inside the wheel wells.

I purchased my BS BL about a month ago. One of the first purchases I made was the Gatorback mudflaps. They are pricey, no doubt. I sat on eBay for a couple weeks, and pounced when I saw a couple 'open box' at a discounted price.

The Gatorback ones are expensive but they are the only ones I have seen that are flexible. All of the cheap ones are molded plastic. If the cheap ones get caught on a rock or chunk of ice, they will break. My fender flares have a little bit of a "mud flap" built into them, so I don't see the need for a set on my BS. If I did decide to get mud flaps, it would be the Gatorback's unless I found someone making something similar for less.

I have done all three of the above recommendations:
1) I had the Gatorbacks and they are heavy and very nice. The only negative is they hang low and can get caught when heavy off-roading, but you said that is not applicable.
2) I had the cheaper flaps that said Bronco on the back wheels. They looked cool but durability is not a word I would use with them.
3) Lastly, on my current Yellowstone Heritage Limited (welcome to the club!), I decided I wanted to do more serious off-roading and went no flaps. This is working best for me.

Sorry for the long answer but I wanted a thorough explanation of why option 1 is the best for your needs, is the best looking, and is worth the money to match that great ride.

It's pretty much the conclusion I came to and why I decided to bite the bullet. I just feel that they complete the vehicle so much they should almost be stock. But then Ford wouldn't rake in bucks by charging people the $500 or $600 they currently are to get the set on their website.

eBay is the place for these.
