I have been RV'ing since the early 90's and have owned class"A"s, C's and travel trailers. Sold my last one in 2020.
2 conglomerates have majority ownership of most of the manufacturers. Thor and Forest River.
The quality has gone off the cliff since a lot of these mergers. Especially post pandemic.
You are better off buying a 5-7 year old gently used RV. Let someone else take the hit on depreciation.
I don't think there is a lemon law for RV's so do your research before any purchase.
Being handy will save you money on any repairs or problems. RV forums like any forum are a great source of info. These things are a house on wheels, so like any vehicle, good maintenance is crucial.
Don't be discouraged about all the negative stuff you read. It's a great lifestyle and I don't regret for one minute being an RV owner all those years.
In 2018 we took a 2 month trip from SoCal to the east coast and back. A lot of miles and memories I'll never forget.
Nothing like parking your house for the night in a new spot, cooking a meal and hitting the rack, ready for the next day's adventure.
