My dealer is asking me to pay current MSRP and then they will *reimburse* me the difference between the order price and the current price after they get the adjusted invoice from Ford (45 days later...).

The total increase is over $2,800.. and now the customer is having to float the difference despite the system being designed for the dealership to do that.

How is this OK? I'm giving this dealer all 1*'s regardless if I see the money or not. Dealerships are giving Ford Motor Company a bad reputation.
Sorry that's happening to you. Hopefully they will reimburse you even though that's not how Ford designed the process. Ford needs a way to lodge complaints against dealers who behave this way.

I'm going to tell the owner tomorrow, who has his name on the building, that I plan on raking their name over the coals on Bronco Sport Forum, the BS sub-Reddit, Ford's survey, and Dealer Rater because of this issue. I had thought I had this all ironed out with my salesman weeks ago but their definition of "price protection" is clearly not what Ford imagined.

I could have bought a MSRP car months ago from a number of dealerships. Give me the keys and I hope you enjoy the recession.

My dealer charged me the higher MSRP that was $700 more then originally. But they did give me the $500 discount they originally promised in addition to the $500 rebate. Then they claimed they would try to get the $700 back from Ford which never happened. But overall I am ok with what I paid.

I just received my window sticker for my Badlands that I ordered on 03/25/2022. There is a price increase of $2500 over my signed price agreement. I though we were safe from the price increase if we ordered before april 15. Has anyone else had the same problem and do you get the agreed price before april 15. Thanks everyone.

You got a great deal. A signed invoice is legally a contract and that's the price you pay.

Ish. There's no real property, no specific by VIN vehicle attached to the signed invoice.
