New article on Ford Authority about the 2025 Bronco Sport. Really nothing new. But I read that there will be a decrease in hp on the Maverick, maybe the BS, too? I was hoping for a little more clearance, more performance, 245's from the factory. Some things that would up the off-road performance.

My trade cycle is for 2025 and right now I don't see another BS in my future.

Edit. I read my comments after posting and thought that they may give the impression that I am down on Bronco Sports. I bought a new 21 and a new 23. I knew their limitations when I bought them and thought I could live with them. And most of the time I can. Both have been excellent vehicles, no mechanical problems except the recent updates and Woody Ford in Madill, OK goes abve and beyond what most people expect from a dealer. I've enjoyed driving the BSs.

I'm OLD and sometimes get in remote places with my wife of 60 years. Recently bought a phone with emergency satellite capability to take care of that. But, sometimes I need a low range. Some of the long descents on CO trails are scary without one but would be a piece of cake with a traditional 4WD. Having given my BS their due, I'm still weak on the reiliability of the twin turbo Fords. I've considered a Bronco, but don't completely trust the engines and the wind noise is unacceptable for me. I'd likely never remove a top, so why put up with the wind noise? What if I'm out of state and have a problem? I don't want to be told it will be weeks before the local Ford dealer can look at my vehicle.

This applies to the 2.0L in the Maverick. If you use regular (87 octane) gas you're only getting about 225 hp from the current engine in the Bronco Sport. I haven't read whether the new HP rating for the Maverick is with premium or regular.

I am not a fan of the sync 4, loosing buttons and only getting navigation map updates with a subscription but that has been discussed in depth on another thread. I think more importantly what these articles don't discuss yet is what was deleted from the trims and how much of a price increase there will be as a result of the refresh. We will just have to wait and see.

There isn't one in my future either.

While we’ll all have to wait for the full official reveal to know what all might be changed, these mid cycle changes seem very much in keeping with the times. Larger screen, new software. Otherwise for those using the off road capability of the BS, there’s still nothing else on the market that offers this level of capability.

At least not without going to a larger BOF vehicle of some sort. Which is probably the segment I’m looking at next, though not because I need any more capability to navigate the curbs at my community mall.

Does anyone know what headlight updates are on the 2025 model? I’ve seen news articles saying the headlights are new but they look the exact same as the current ones.

Skid plate on front bumper, rear tow hooks, front brush bar, those will appeal to some buyers.

I have a 2023 Bronco Sport Heritage Limited and will be purchasing a 2025. I like the larger screen and 360 Camera will be welcome. The rear tow hooks will defiantly be welcome. The one complaint I have about my 23 is that my right hand freezes off from the AC vent and the new design is much better for my needs.

I am not a huge fan of the larger screen but I can see where some people might be. What I am looking forward to is the potential for front and rear recovery hooks. That is my biggest issue with my BB is that there really isn't the ability (other than ordering a BL, or having tow package) to add recovery hooks to the front or rear that aren't just for show. I wish the after market would finally make something to be able to add true structural recovery hooks to the front...

As more controls are moved to the screen, a larger one is mandatory. Like it or not, it's the future.

Agreed. I think it’s something that as we see more of it and get used to it, it will become second nature.

True to some extent. But this move to digital is not driven by making a better driving expereience, it is happening because it is cheaper to produce.

Right now I'm thinking about a mid-sized truck to replace my BS. The Ford Ranger makes you go into the screen to engage your front and rear lockers. The Chevy Colorado ZR2 has two piano switches on the dash. If I'm going up a steep, slippery slope in CO and start sliding, I don't want to waste time with a screen. One of the things that makes me inclined to choose the ZR2. Some controls like this need to remain manual. I'd like to think I have enough experience and caution to engage the locker beforehand, but every once in awhile you get fooled or just have a brain fart. :)

Trust me I’m with you. I think physical controls are much easier to use and more practical.
