It's the tires. You have meaty aggressive tread, and as others have said, more of it on the road.

I love the Fuel wheels, by the way, and I've got even bigger tires on mine. And yes - I have substantially more road noise than the Pirelli Scorpion 225/ tires that came on the car. I don't mind the noise, at all. I accept it as coming with this set up.

255/70/R17. I've also got a 1.75" lift, and had to trim a little bit of plastic, but after that trimming, no rub anywhere. Works great. But it's a bit of a project to go this size.

Good to know! I've been going back and forth between 255/70/R17 vs 245/70/R17. I've got a 2" lift on my big bend.
